Reason for urgency:
This decision needs to be taken urgently to fund the additional services required of GARAS and to administer the welcome payments through a pre-paid card system. The urgency is due to the need for provision of immediate support to Ukrainian refugees under the requirements of the Homes for Ukraine scheme.
As this decision is urgent, it has not been possible to give the required 28 days notice of this key decision.
In accordance with the Council’s General Exception Rules, Chair and Vice Chair of the Scrutiny Committee, have been notified of the need to take this decision as an urgent decision without first publishing notification of the decision on the council website (28 days before the decision is taken).
