The Joint Core Strategy (JCS) is part of the statutory development plan for Gloucestershire and heavily influences the quantum and future location of future growth in the JCS area. The purpose of this report is to confirm Gloucestershire County Council’s (GCC’s) participation in relation to the current review of the JCS, including the signing of a formal Partnership Agreement between GCC and the three local planning authorities.

Consultees
The revised JCS Partnership Agreement has been
agreed between the legal officers of both Tewkesbury BC (on behalf
of the JCS) and GCC.
The JCS Issues and Options – Consultation document was
subject to public consultation between 12th November 2018 and 11th
January 2019.
Scrutiny Input: The Environment Scrutiny Committee has been (and will continue to be) updated on the progress of the review of the JCS at every meeting as part of the EE&I’s Executive Director’s report.
Planned Dates: The JCS Partnership Agreement, when signed by GCC, will have to be formally signed by the other three local planning authorities. No dates have been set for this yet.
