HMIP Inspection of Gloucestershire’s Youth Offending Service and Improvement Plan

To seek Cabinet’s endorsement of the improvement plan developed by Gloucestershire’s Youth Justice Partnership Board (YJPB) in response to the HMIP Inspection Report published in January 2020. This acknowledges GCC’s role as the accountable body for the administration of youth justice in the county.

The improvement plan has been developed by local partners working through Gloucestershire’s Youth Justice Partnership Board and subject to their approval prior to submission on 11 February.

Scrutiny Input: The HMIP Report (January 2020 and YJPB improvement plan will be considered by the Children and Families Scrutiny Committee at their meeting on 5 March 2020.

Planned Dates: The improvement plan was submitted to HMIP on 11 February following approval by Gloucestershire’s Youth Justice Partnership Board.
