The lack of lighting and resultant safety in this area of Montpellier Gardens has been sadly highlighted this week following a serious assault on a young girl, which took place before 1900 on Saturday evening. This area of the park is pitch black and is not only dangerous to walk through - even in the early evening, it appears - but to walk by.
