We petition the council for a speed reduction and road safety measures to support road safety for all road users and pedestrians alike, to improve air quality and to reduce noise levels which will benefit residents both fronting directly onto the A419 and set higher up in the surrounding valley.
Data has shown that in recent years, 5 road traffic accidents have taken place on this section of road, 2 of which were marked as serious in 2017 and 2020. However all incidents involved casualties.
Data has also indicated that air quality is greatly improved when speed is reduced.
