To agree a written resolution by UBICO to vary the contract between UBICO and Forest of Dean District Council to include waste, recycling, food waste, garden waste and street cleaning services.

As a UBICO Shareholder the Council is required to consider whether to agree any contractual variations relating to any UBICO partner.

In coming to this decision I have given due and full regard to the requirements of the public sector equality duty contained in section 149 of the Equality Act 2010 (“the Act”) by reference to the law itself.

Having fully considered all the available information, I have decided to reject the alternative options and take the recommended decision:

That as Gloucestershire County Council’s UBICO shareholder representative, agree to UBICO’s proposed written resolution set out in the Appendix to:

·         increase the services that it delivers to the Forest of Dean District Council to include the delivery of waste, recycling and street cleaning services; and

·         authorise Ubico’s Executive Directors to agree all necessary documentation to implement this Resolution.
