Purpose:

Pursuant to an Authorisation from: Cabinet - 27th January 2021 – decision to delegate authority to the Executive Director of Adult Social Care and Public Health in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Public Health and Communities and the Executive Director for Corporate Resources to allocate the Local Authority Contain Outbreak Management Fund in order to deliver the objectives in the Local Outbreak Management Plan in accordance with the Council’s standing orders and procurement legislation.

An officer decision was made on 14th April 2021 to award a contract for the supply of training, management and reporting on rapid COVID-19 assisted testing by community pharmacies to both Avon HealthCare Services and Central Health Solutions Ltd. A further office decision was made on 30th June 2021 to extend the Council’s current contracts with Avon HealthCare Services and Central Health Solutions Ltd by three months with effect from 1 July 2021.

Decision:

Having consulted with the Cabinet Member for Public Health and Communities and the Executive Director for Corporate Resources:

 

DECISION:

To extend for a maximum period of 12 months with effect from 1 October 2021 the term of the Council’s current contracts with each of Avon HealthCare Services and Central Health Solutions Ltd for the supply of training, management and reports on rapid COVID-19 assisted processing of tests by subcontracted community pharmacies. Such contracts will also be modified to include an option to terminate which may be exercised by the council giving 4 weeks’ notice thereof.  Such option which will be exercised by the council in line with any Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) policy changes from time to time.
