Purpose:

Pursuant to an authorisation from Councillor Carole Allaway Martin (COVID-19 Social Care Providers at Risk - Support Proposal) on 21st April 2020

To extend until the 31st July 2020 the period in which the council shall continue to provide short term financial support to community and bed based care providers who have incurred expected additional costs (or by not having done so are at risk of losing capacity and where capacity is vital to the performance of the NHS) from Government funds in accordance with Procurement Policy Note 02/20.


Decision:

In coming to this decision, Margaret Willcox, Executive Director: Adults, gave due and full regard to the requirements of the Public Sector Equality Duty contained in section 149 of the Equality Act 2010 (“the Act”) by reference to the law itself and also the relevant Due Regard Statement, which was/were prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Act.

 

Having fully considered all the available information, the Executive Director: Adults decided to reject any alternative options and take the recommended decision(s), for the reasons set out in the published decision report to:

 

Extend until 31st July 2020, the period in which the council shall continue to provide short term financial support to community and bed based care providers who have incurred expected additional costs, (or by not having done so are at risk of losing capacity and where capacity is vital to the performance of the NHS), from Government funds in accordance with Procurement Policy Note 02/20, pursuant to authority delegated under a Cabinet Member Decision dated 21 April 2020.
