To seek approval to exercise the 3 year option to extend the exisiting provision of actuarial services to the Gloucestershire Pension Fund contract following expiry of the initial 4 year term on 31 March 2023.

In coming to this decision I have given due and full regard to the requirements of the public sector equality duty contained in section 149 of the Equality Act 2010 (“the Act”) by reference to the law itself.

Having fully considered all the available information, I have decided to reject the alternative options and take the recommended decision to:

Approve the exercise of a 3-year extension option under the council’s contract with Hymans Robertson for the provision of actuarial services to the Gloucestershire Pension Fund.

Such extension shall commence on 1 April 2023 and be effected in accordance with the extension option provisions of the contract.
