Pursuant to an Authorisation from Cabinet:
Decision: To delegate authority to the Executive Director of Adult Social Care and Public Health, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Public Health and Communities and the Executive Director for Corporate Resources to allocate the Local Authority Contain Outbreak Management Fund in order to deliver the objectives in the Local Outbreak Management Plan in accordance with the Council’s standing orders and procurement legislation.

Having consulted with the Cabinet Member for Public Health and Communities in accordance with a Cabinet decision dated 27.01.21:

 

DECISION

 

To approve the allocation of £120,000 to Stroud District Council for the purpose of creating a ‘kick-start fund’ that will be used by it to fund, under the direction of the Heads of Environmental Health Governance group (whose role is to provide governance and assurance relating to environmental health risks and priorities, and to provide strategic leadership for, and scrutiny of, its environmental health sub-groups, usually through collaboration on locally coordinated work plans and activities to improve health and environmental outcomes (e.g. food safety, H&S, contaminated land, housing, licensing, environmental protection, private water supplies, animal welfare),  projects that will proactively address national and local recruitment and retention of Environmental Health Practitioners engaged in the provision of Gloucestershire local authority environmental health services.
