Purpose:

To seek approval to publish a statutory notice of the intention to bring the two Pupil Referral Units (The Cheltenham and Tewkesbury Alternative Provision School and The Stroud and Cotswold Alternative Provision School) together under a single management committee

Decision:

In coming to this decision, Cllr Philip Robinson, (Cabinet Member for Economy, Education and Skills), gave due and full regard to the requirements of the public sector equality duty contained in section 149 of the Equality Act 2010 (“the Act”) by reference to the law itself and also the relevant Equality Impact Assessment, which was prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Act.

 

Having fully considered all of the available information, Cllr Robinson rejected the alternative options and took the recommended decision to:

 

Give approval to publish a statutory notice of the intention to bring the two Pupil Referral Units (The Cheltenham and Tewkesbury Alternative Provision School and The Stroud and Cotswold Alternative Provision School) together under a single management committee.
