Purpose:

To seek approval to extend the term of the council’s current “Managed Print Solution” contract with Canon UK Ltd (in respect of Lots A & B thereof) by two years to expire on 31st January 2023 (rather than on 31st January 2021 as provided currently).

Decision:

In coming to this decision, Cllr Lynden Stowe, Cabinet Member: Finance and Change, gave due and full regard to the requirements of the public sector equality duty contained in section 149 of the Equality Act 2010 (“the Act”) by reference to the law itself and also the relevant Due Regard Statement, which was prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Act.

 

Having fully considered all the available information, Cllr Stowe rejected the alternative options and took the recommended decision to: -

 

i) Delegate authority to the Head of Delivery Services to undertake negotiations to extend the term of the council’s current “Managed Print Solution” contract with Canon UK Ltd (in respect of Lots A & B thereof);

 

ii) Delegate authority to the Executive Director of Corporate Resources on conclusion of such negotiations to extend the term of the council contract by two years to expire on 31st January 2023.
