Pedestrian Crossing on Tommy Taylors Lane

We the undersigned petition the council to install a suitable pedestrian crossing on Tommy Taylors Lane in Cheltenham, between the Prince of Wales stadium car parks by the Prince Regent Avenue junction and the pedestrian entrance to Pittville Park

With the development of the Midwinter housing estate and the growing popularity of both Pittville Park and the Leisure@Cheltenham facilities, the need for a safe crossing across the busy Tommy Taylors Lane is becoming essential. Each day families with small children, school parties, elderly residents and people living with disabilities are struggling to safely cross at this point. Since the resurfacing of Tommy Taylors Lane, which was much appreciated, the natural traffic calming impact has been lost and some road users are often travelling at high speeds which can make it even more unsafe to cross. We would like to see a safer way to cross Tommy Taylors Lane so that all can enjoy what our local community has to offer.
