Procurement of a Virtual Parking Payment Service

To recommend the procurement of a Virtual Parking solution for the County and approach to that procurement

 

Decision:

That the Commissioning Director: Communities & Infrastructure is authorised to: -

 

1.    Undertake an EU compliant tender process in order to establish a five year Contract for the procurement of Virtual Parking Payment Services within Gloucestershire.

 

2.    Upon the conclusion of the tender process to enter into a five year fixed term Contract with the preferred provider for the provision of Virtual Parking Payment Services within Gloucestershire. In the event that the preferred provider is unable or unwilling to enter in to the contract with the Council then the Director is authorised to enter into such contract with the next willing and able highest placed suitable provider.

Minutes:

Chas Fellows, Cabinet Member for Economy and Environment, introduced this report.  Mr Fellows confirmed that the option to pay manually would remain and that one of the advantages for residents buying parking permits by the proposed Virtual Service was a monthly payment option.
